Our Process

Each executive search effort carries its own unique set of circumstances. In each case, P.F.S Associates regards the following steps as its guideline. We enjoy the ability, because of our size, to adapt accordingly.

Assessment of the Client
Meet with the appropriate managers to discuss characteristics of the firm and the way in which the said position functions in relation to the other components of the organization.

Defining the Position
Create a precise job specification outlining the details of the role and the necessary qualifications that the candidates shall possess.

The Research Function
Initiate a thorough research effort to determine the key competitors in each industry sector. Once completed, P.F.S Associates will identify and qualify the top candidate prospects in each firm to be recruited.

Recruiting the Candidates
Prospective candidates are contacted directly by P.F.S. Associates.  Initial screening and qualifying is conducted via telephone with each candidate.  A select group of candidates are then interviewed in person in order to make the final recommendations to the client.

Presentation of Candidates
A short list of the most qualified recruits is presented to the client to begin the final interview process. Management of the interview process is critical to securing an efficient outcome:
  • positioning client to candidate
  • positioning candidate to client
  • coaching both sides to uncover and clarify the needs and expectations

Closing the Assignment
Once the final candidate has been selected, P.F.S Associates becomes the facilitator and liaison in the final stage of the search. This allows both the client and the candidate to work with a professional intermediary to secure compensation and logistical matters, eliminating much of the emotion that can jeapordize a successful hire.
